It's been a long time

I started this blog a long time ago with the idea that I could keep family updated, since we live far away and don't see them often. I started it for my mom and my sister, really. Neither of them ever read it. I guess they weren't very interested? I don't know but it didn't really take off. Now there isn't any point anyway because neither of them speak to me anymore.

After that, I kept it to update Uncle Leon. He's on Facebook now, so it's easier to keep in touch with him that way. And my mother in law and brothers in law are on facebook, so they can at least see pictures of the kids. Not that they ever really read this anyway.

That leaves me with this space and I'm not sure what to do with it. Maybe nothing. I don't know. I could write an update but for whom, you know? I don't think anybody really cares. Besides that, I might not be very interesting at the moment.

So I guess that's it. I guess I'm thinking anybody who is really interested in an update on my life is already on facebook. Nothing to see here.

Dissertation defense

I will be defending my dissertation on Friday, March 26th. That means I'm making a trip to Atlanta. I had planned to stay through the weekend and attend services at Our Saviour. It's still up in the air whether I'll be there--the trip isn't planned yet--and whether I'll be alone or with the baby.

If I come alone, Atlanta readers, never fear. We will be back in May for my graduation on the 10th and we'll have Allison, Frances, and Jude the Gigantor with us.
