Future Academics of America

St. Edward's, which is where I work, requires that I hold a final exam session. So if I'm not giving a final exam, I still have to hold a session during which students come and hand in their final papers. What this means is that I go down at the end of the semester and hang in the classroom. Students trickle in and hand in their papers.

I took Allison with me last semester. This semester, I brought both of the chickadees. They were there to amuse me. And so they did.

They liked seeing where I work. Every classroom on campus is a smart classroom, and Frances took to the podium like a duck to water.

Here she is, budding instructional technology guru.

She makes good use of the keyboard.

And the mouse.

Allison, for her part, prefers to kick it old school by focusing primarily on the chalkboard.

Here she is, getting down to work.

And her masterpiece. It is two scary As--as in the letter A. There is a miracle happening to them. The miracle? They are being turned into happy As! Who is making this happen, you ask? The letters U and S.

Yeah, I don't know.

Birthday pictures coming soon.....
