I took the kids to the mall today--they have a free kid's movie at this particular mall every week. Francie's favorite thing at the mall is the head of a longhorn placed high in a wall near the entrance. It's real, as in taxidermy. Why is there taxidermy in the mall, you ask? I don't know. It is Texas, I guess.
Anyway, she loves it. She points up and shouts LOOK! MOMMY! COOOOWWWW!!
Yes, Frances. Cow.
LOOK MOMMY! COW!
Yes, I see it, Frances. Cow.

Dude.
Then she becomes rather serious. Mommy?
Yes?
Cow...stuck. Cow stuck.
Ummm, yeah. I guess the cow is kind of stuck.
Cow stuck....in TREE!
Um. No. But okay.
Cow stuck in tree, she says with confidence and authority.
I guess that beats realizing the thing has actually been decapitated.
