Road trip.

Over Memorial Day, we took a trip to Spokane. I'm just getting around to posting the pictures.

We drove from Austin to Wichita on the first day. From there, we headed to Denver. From Denver we made it to Hardin, MT. On the last day, we drove into Spokane.

The trip was uneventful, which is what you want in a road trip, really. We stopped periodically to let the children run around like maniacs.

Here they are somewhere in Kansas. We were playing hide and seek. Not a lot of places to hide in Kansas. We did much better in the trees of Oklahoma, but I didn't think to take any pictures.

Here I am. I am documenting the fact that I am way, way too pregnant to run.

And I am documenting the fact that I, for one, think Kansas is spectacularly beautiful.

I don't think I took any pictures in Colorado. But here is one of our stops in Wyoming. We saw a whole lot of antelope. Thrilling.

You can't see them, but this rest area was positively overrun by Japanese tourists, probably on their way to Yellowstone.

And this is me not running around in Wyoming. I am still very, very pregnant.

Here are the girls in a place called Anaconda. It's in Montana.

Here they are again, this time in front of our motel in Hardin. I do not recommend Hardin. At all.

Eventually we hit some very familiar scenery. I only wish we'd had time to stop and take some pictures in Mullan, ID where my grandparents met and were married. But the area looks a lot like this.

In between all of this running around, we spent a lot of time in the car. They had their ugly moments, but on the whole they were fantastic.

Pictures from Spokane in another post.
